IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alex
Rowell
November 17, 1930 – November 27, 2018
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
2 Timothy 4:7 King James Version (KJV)
Mr. Alex Rowell, Sr, the son of the late Boyd Rowell and Minnie Woodberry Rowell Jones, was born November 17, 1930, in Pamplico, South Carolina. He departed this life on November 27, 2018, after a brief illness. Mr. Rowell attended the public schools of Florence County. He was converted at an early age and became a member of Trinity AME Church. He loved his church and served faithfully for many years as an Usher, a Class Leader and a Steward. He was also a member of the Sons of Allen. He was employed at Delta Mills, formerly known as J.P. Stevens for over 30 years. In July 1952 he married the late Ruby Lee Hyman Rowell, and to the union two children were born Rudy Van and Alex Jr. Alex Sr. celebrated 50 years of marriage to Ruby Lee before her death in December 2002. He enjoyed his garden and loved sharing his fruits with others.
