Obituary

Alvin Lee Eaddy affectionately known as "Shorty" and "Uncle Showtime" passed away on July 10, 2018 at home.

Alvin was born February 15,1956 in Florence Country to the late Johnny and Adline Kelly Eaddy.

In addition to his parents, Alvin was preceded in death by one son, Bryant Eaddy; siblings, Levern Eaddy, Lizzie Mae Cannon, Virginia Eaddy, and Annie Ruth Eaddy.

Alvin attended the public schools of Florence Country.  He joined the United States Army where he honorably served three years.  His employment was exceeding in many places.  He was employed as a truck driver for many years at Womack Nursey.  His employment extended at Florence School District #2 and B&C Fuel. He was also a self-employed electrician and mechanic.

Alvin accepted Christ at an early age and joined Pee Dee Baptist Church. He was a loving and caring person who was very humble with a great sense of humor.He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Gwendolyn Eaddy; his daughters, Latonya (Randy) McWhite and Latasha McNeil; a special nephew he raised as his own, Byroin Eaddy; ten grandchildren, Justin, Bryan, JaZaria, Taquashyia, Taquavious, Cyrus, Cya, Jah Karrol, K-iya, and Prosper; one sister, Bessie Lee Eaddy of the home. One brother, John Edward (Lula) Eaddy of Hemingway, SC; one uncle, Bossman Eaddy; sister-in-law, Shirley Eaddy and one brother- in-law, Terrance Duncan. He also leaves to cherish his memories a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews and other loving family members. Very special friends, Clyde Barden, Norman Chandler, and Ervin Lewis.
