Joe Ann Davis was born April 11, 1958, to the late CD and Luella Davis, in Plainfield, New Jersey.  She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at MUSC Florence.

She attended the public schools of Florence County and for a short period of time worked for Florence County school before being employed with Sea Mist Resort for over a decade.  At an early age, she gave her life to Christ and became a member of St. Luke AME Church.

Joe Ann loved her family, gathering and spending time with them as much as possible.  She was an extremely loving and compassionate to everyone, always greeting them with a smile.  Her children and grandchildren were her greatest blessings.  With much hope and peace, her favorite saying was "It's going to be alright' and we know that she is resting with now in the Master's hands.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her loving companion, Willie Brown, Jr. of the home.  Two daughters; Tamacia (Kevin) Richardson of Columbia, SC, and Latoya (Melvin) Davis of the home.  One son, Joshua (Amanda) Davis of Lake City, SC.  Two grandchildren, Keiyondra and Kadyn Richardson, of Columbia, SC.  Three step-grandchildren:  Alondae, Avontae and Ameria Graham.  Seven sisters:  Shirley Ann, Linda, Lisa, Corinthian, Sha'Naa, and Chantell.  Three brothers:  Cedrick (Lynn) Davis, Randy Davis, and Ronnie (Geraldine) Davis, who proceeded her in death.  One uncle, JD Davis; four aunts:  Rena Graham, Bessie Davis, Ernestine Feastor and Almeda Davis.  One close cousin and friend, Etta Ellison, along with a host of nieces nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
