John "Johnny" Cleveland Cain was born on June 22, 2023 in Florence, South Carolina to John C. Cain and the late Minda L. Cain. He departed this life on November 3, 2023 at McLeod Regional Medical Center surrounded by family.
John received his formal education in Florence County School system. He was employed at Marsh Lumber Company for 22 years until he became ill. John became a member of Pentecostal United Church of Christ and remained a faithful servant. He married Teresa Cain and to this union three children were born.
John was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He absolutely adored Cheyenne and Gabe. He enjoyed going fishing, spending time with his dad and family. He loved hanging out in his man's cave with Pony, watching his favorite football team, the 49ers. Prior to getting sick, he loved taking Gabe to ride his truck. He will be missed dearly by those who knew him.
Proceeding him in death is one son, Jonathan Davis, and one sister, Linda Cain.
He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, Teresa Cain, of Pamplico, SC; two children, Cheyenne Cain and Gabriell Ervin of Pamplico, SC; his father, John C. Cain of Pamplico, SC, one special daughter, Jamie Gardner of Pamplico, SC; three grandchildren, Jasmine Gardner of Lake City, SC, Dejenne Davis and Christopher Eldridge of Pamplico, SC; one brother, Donnell (Jacquelyn) Cain of Dallas, GA; two sisters, Connell Cain of Florence, SC and Cynthia Brown of Pamplico, SC; two sisters-in-law, Mary Lou (Jeffrey) Johnson and Holly Davis of Pamplico, SC; two brothers-in-law, Bennett (Hope) Davis of Pamplico, SC and Shane (Samantha) Smith of Charleston, SC; three aunts, Barbara Cooper of Columbia, SC, Ella Hart of Charlotte, NC, and Raylenna Spates of Bradenton, FL; two great aunts, Jane Allen Robinson of Pamplico, SC and Dilcey King of Brooklyn, NY; three nieces, Patricia (Michael) Dunn of Columbia, SC, Angela (Mark) Gunter of Pamplico, SC, and Carrington Cain of Florence, SC; one nephew, Tyler Cain of Dallas, GA; one great niece, Amaya Gunter; three great nephews, Johnathan Dunn, Nicholas Dunn, and Bryson Gunter; one longtime friend, Elbert "Pony" Davis and a host of relatives and friends.
