SUSIE TIMMONS was born in Pamplico, South Carolina on June 13, 1930, to the late Lonnie E. Wilson, Sr. and Minne Bradley Wilson. She was one of twenty-three children and two adopted brothers. She peacefully fell asleep in death on March 27, 2025
Miss Susie was educated in Florence County, SC Public Schools and was babysitter and caregiver for many years in her home in Brooklyn, New York, and a nursing Home In Florence, SC
Miss Susie, as she was well known, loved preparing meals for family gatherings, baking her "spongy" pound cakes, hanging out with her sisters on the hill, and going to the Pamplico Senior Citizen Center to play bingo. During her final years living at the Palms at Florence, her visits filled our hearts with laughter. She was a lifelong member of Mount Zion Baptist Church.
She was joined in marriage to the late Thomas Timmons. To this union two children were born. A son, Thomas Terry Timmons of Lake Mar, Florida and one daughter, Shron Ellison of Pamplico, SC, one son-in-law, Nick Ellison; six grandchildren, Tenecia (Stefan), Dale, Renee (Jessie), Kimberley (Tauris), Whitnie (Anthony), and Shelby (Jeffrey), and ten great grandchildren. Survived by; one sister, Ethel Bruce of Brooklyn, New York; one sister-law, Mardie Lee Wilson of Jacksonville, Fl, one brother-in-law, Henry Timmons of Albany, New York, and a large group of loving nieces and nephews.
A special heartfelt thank you goes out to a large host of special family members and friends who loved and assisted our mother throughout her life
