Obituary

Ms. Bobby Jean Shird was born February 2, 1946, to the late Horrom B. and Lugene Weaver Shird.  She transitioned into eternal rest on February 28, 2022, at Palm of Florence Nursing Rehab in Florence, South Carolina.

She was a graduate of Gibbs High School, Class of 1966.  At an early age, she dedicated her life to Christ, joining Aimwell Missionary Baptist Church.  She was a faithful member until health failed, serving on the Gospel Choir, attending Sunday School and mid-week prayer service.  For many years, she worked for the Poston Family and Hannah Residential Manor.

Bobby Jean was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters:  Loretha S. Brown, Leta M. Shird, and Mazie Lee Myers, and one brother, Judge Shird.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: one sister, Mrs. Mattie (Rev. I.J.) Myers, and one brother, Decon Laurie Shird, both of Pamplico, South Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and host of other relatives and friends.
