Mr. Joseph Davis, the son of Herman McFadden Sr. and Christina Davis was born in Florence County, South Carolina on January 5, 1945. On March 7, 2020 he departed this earthly life.
Mr. Davis was educated in the public schools in Florence County and attended Wilson High School. He left home during his high school years to work the farmland in the county. Later he ventured to New York where he worked his way up to a Foreman in Construction for over 30 years. He was a proud Board member of the Cement and Concrete Workers Union.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Herman Jr. at birth and Leroy “Bubba” Davis at age sixteen.
He leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters, Ms. Sandra Daniels of Baltimore, MD and Ms. Deirdre Davis Blunt of Columbia, SC; one son Joseph (Samenthea) Davis of Charleston, South Carolina; eight grandchildren; Donte’ (Keishia) Daniels, Tiesha Stewart, Anthony (Shayna) Bryan, Keona Bryan, Shandria Daniels all of Baltimore, MD; Justin Blunt and Jalen Blunt of Columbia, SC, Jolisa Taylor of Charleston, SC; twelve great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Betty (Richard, III) Christian of Goldsboro, NC and Ms. Mindell Sams of Florence, SC; one half- brother Richard Eaddy of Florence, SC; two Aunts Ms. Effie D. Burgess and Pastor Minnie P. Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friend
