Mr. Luther Brown, affectionately known as Bunny, was born on November 12, 1943, in Georgetown County, to the son of the late John and Levy Burch Brown. He departed his earthly life on January 25, 2022.
Luther attended the Florence County public schools and was a member of Mill Branch A.M.E. Church, of Pamplico, South Carolina.
Luther was a self-employed truck driver for over 40 years. In addition, he was a member of the Gibbs Procurement Center, and the Masonic Lodge #231.
Luther was united in marriage to Edna Boatwright. To this union, three children were born one of which his daughter, Tonya Noel Brown, preceded him in death.
Surviving is his wife Edna Brown, of Pamplico, South Carolina; one son, Kenwick (Deloris) Brown, of Florence, South Carolina; one daughter, Cynthia (James) Davis, of Gresham, South Carolina; five grandchildren: Kendra Brown, Natiyah Davis, James Davis III, and two which preceded him in death; six sisters, one surviving sister, Beulah Mae Grant, of Pamplico, South Carolina and five whom preceded him in death; Lille Mae Davis, Lorraine Graham, Sarah Newson, Claudia Godbolt, and Carolyn Graham; one brother, John D. Brown whom preceded him in death; three godchildren, Shawn Franks-Taylor, Kenyatta Jordan, and Octavious Kelly; two special children that he considered his own, Cindy (Stanley) McWhite, and Ordia (Kelly) Brown, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
