Mary Sharmaree Davis Williams was born on November 18, 1957 to the late James and Sarah Stuckey. She departed her earthly home on Saturday August 15, 2020 after a brief illness.
“Sharmaree” as she was mostly known, was a 1975 graduate of Hannah Pamplico High School. She furthered her education at Florence-Darlington Technical College in the medical program. In 1987, she began cosmetology school, and ran her own beauty salon from 1988-2007. She was a Home Health Aide until her health declined.
Sharmaree church activities included singing on the senior choir, a member of the Pastor’s Aid Committee, and the Women’s Missionary Society. Her favorite scripture was Mark 11:24, “Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”
Sharmaree was preceded in death by her parents, one brother JC Graham, and one sister Joyce Stuckey.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one son, David Lee Williams, Jr of Florence, SC; two daughters, Ella (Darnell) Green of Johnsonville, SC and Eliza Williams of Florence, SC; three grandsons, Syone Beckford, Sharod Williams, Elijah Green; one brother, Elbert “Pony” Davis; two sisters, Ella Nora Williams and Shirley Ann Davis, lifelong friends Gary Richardson, Janice Gain, Candace Woodberry and Ethel Parker.
