Thelma Lee Smith Brown

Mrs. Thelma Lee Smith was born on January 30, 1944, in Trenton, New Jersey the daughter of the late Isiah and Mary C. Smith. She entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at McLeod Hospice.

Thelma Lee received her education in the Trenton Public School District. She left home at an early age and relocated to Pamplico, South Carolina, where she met and fell in love with the late Billy Brown, Sr. and to this union five children were born. 

Thelma Lee was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. 

Thelma Lee will be forever missed and loved by those who remain: five children, Mark Brown of Florence, SC, Kimberly (James Taylor Jr.) Brown of Lake City, SC, Todd (Tiffany) Brown of Greenville, SC, Billy Ben (Sara) Brown, and Robin Brown, both of Pamplico, SC; sixteen grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; four brothers, Isiah Smith, Jr., John Smith, James Smith, and Odell Smith all of Trenton, NJ; four sisters, Gladys Moore of Mount Holly, NJ, Mary Ann Saunders of Florence, SC, Starlean Smith of Trenton, NJ, and Betty Bailey of Pamplico, SC; two sisters-in-law, Jessie Lee Brown and Betty Lee Standford, both of Pamplico, SC; three brothers-in-law, Willie Brown, Sr. of Winston-Salem, NC, Harry (Starlene) Brown and Joseph "Buster" Brown, both of Pamplico, SC; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
